Immediate Supervisor: Superintendent
Job qualifications: A Master's degree or higher and the required Kentucky certificate for the assigned position.
Specific Duties:
1. Coordinates schedule to serve groups as well as one-on-one counseling sessions with the principal.
2. Works in cooperation with the Family Resource Center director to help parents deal with problems hindering the child's
educational growth. Consults with additional resource people regarding the needs of students and families.
3. Prepares and implements and referral process for individual counseling.
4. Collaborates with school counselors to identify students in need of tier 3 support services within the Multi-tiered Systerm of Supports.
5. Provide individual student support to interact and intervene with students experiencing mental health crises, therefore leading to improved academic outcomes.
6. Collaborate and consult with school couselors and families to support classroom success through builcing awareness of
mental health.
7. Provide support to identified students to be physically and mentally healthy, so they can leave their primary and secondary education ready to address further education and career goals.
8. May assist in a crisis situation.
9. Perform threat assessments with students.
10. Offer individual and group counseling sessions.
11. Participate in transition meetings.
12. Serve on school-based and district teams.
13. Provide consultation to staff on a referral/request basis for all students.
14. Make recommendations to schools staff concerning behavioral intervention plans for students.
15. Shall perform other duties related to the position as assigned by the superintendent.
